WHERE TO START
Don't overthink it!
Sometimes you just know what you love and there is no need for explanation. This philosophy can be applied to how you buy the pieces for your home (or select your finishes).
We start each of our projects with a Pinterest board to help us visually curate our design direction and highly recommend it for you as well. Colours, textures, tones and shapes that you are drawn to are good indicators of products that would do well to introduce into your home. Do you see repetition in the images that you like or spaces that make you feel at peace and calm? Take note of these and start to build from there.
Once you begin to shop for your items, whether it is furniture or finishes for your home, keep these images at the forefront of your mind so that you stay on task and on point. The options available to us for our homes are seemingly endless and retailers drop new lines so quickly, it’s hard to keep up and honestly, quite easy to be pulled away from your vision. Opt for timeless materials and lines for longevity and keep trendy items and colours to smaller items.
